RIMS, the Risk Management Society®, empowers risk professionals to create a safer, more secure, and sustainable world. Founded in 1950, RIMS supports over 200,000 risk practitioners and business leaders across 75+ countries through its 80 chapters. The society offers invaluable resources in networking, professional development, certification, advocacy, and research.

DFW RIMS

The Dallas-Fort Worth DFW RIMS Organization of the Risk and Insurance Management Society, Inc. (DFW RIMS), founded 1957, is a nonprofit organization for the benefit of its members.

Strategic Goals

Our chapter’s strategic goals for 2025 are:

Risk Management Outreach: We aim to expand our reach by fostering meaningful connections with both industry peers and encouraging chapter involvement. I challenge each of you to invite a new risk manager to one of our events.

Education Development: This year, we’ll provide even more opportunities to enhance our knowledge and sharpen skills through our monthly luncheons and other educational content.

Building Positive Momentum: Let’s keep the energy high as we work together to make our chapter stronger than ever. Please volunteer.  Get involved!  We’d love to see you.

Our Priorities

  • To promote the discipline of risk management among public, private, and non-profit organizations, as well as enhance the image of the risk management profession as a career worthy of choice.

  • To foster the educational and professional development of the risk management professional, including students in risk management or insurance related studies.

  • To influence legislation and regulation at the state and federal levels, for the benefit of its members.

  • To develop and promote activities, services and products which meet the needs of its members.

  • To provide forums for the free exchange of ideas and viewpoints among its members.

  • To promote a competitive insurance marketplace and the development of insurance products which benefit all insurance consumers.

  • To foster relationships with other professional societies and organizations in order to advance its objectives of the Risk Management and Insurance professionals and their organizations served.
