Momentum in Motion | DFW RIMS April 2026
Momentum in Motion: Springing Forward Together
As we move into April, I find myself energized by the momentum building across our DFW RIMS community. This season reminds us that growth doesn’t happen overnight - it happens through consistent care, collaboration, and commitment. And that is exactly what I see happening throughout our chapter.
Our March board meeting was a powerful reminder of how much dedication lives within this organization. From thoughtful strategic discussions to continued progress across our committees, the work being done behind the scenes continues to elevate what we offer our members. I am deeply grateful to our board, committee chairs, and volunteers who give their time, perspective, and leadership to ensure DFW RIMS remains strong and relevant.
Spring also brings a renewed focus on recognition and excellence. As we prepare for upcoming awards and acknowledgments, I encourage you to take a moment to reflect on the professionals, partners, and volunteers who inspire you. Recognizing those who lead with integrity, innovation, and service strengthens our community and reinforces the values we stand for as risk professionals.
Member engagement remains at the heart of everything we do. Whether through our luncheons, networking events, educational programming, or advocacy efforts, your participation fuels our success. If you’ve been attending regularly - thank you. If you’ve been meaning to get more involved, now is the perfect time. Invite a colleague, introduce yourself to a new face, or consider lending your talents to a committee. Every connection matters.
We are also continuing our efforts to grow and diversify our membership, ensuring DFW RIMS reflects the breadth of talent and experience across our region. Your voice helps shape this chapter, and - new or longstanding - we want every member to feel welcomed, supported, and valued.
As we look ahead to the coming months, I am excited about what lies ahead: meaningful education, stronger partnerships, and opportunities to deepen our impact. Together, we are building more than a professional organization - we are cultivating a community.
Thank you for your trust, your engagement, and your commitment to the future of risk management. It is truly an honor to serve alongside you.
With appreciation and enthusiasm,
Catrina Gilbert
2026 President, DFW RIMS

Membership Milestone: We’re Breaking Records!
We have some exciting news to share—DFW RIMS membership is officially at an all-time high! Our month-over-month growth has been incredible, and it’s all thanks to the vibrant, engaged community you’ve helped build.
But we aren’t stopping there. While the data looks great, the real value of our chapter is the fellowship. We’re pushing to grow even more because a larger network means more diverse expertise, more impactful connections, and a stronger collective voice for risk professionals across North Texas.
Help us keep the momentum going:
- Invite a Colleague: Bring a peer to our next meeting.
- Share the Value: Remind a friend about the industry-leading insights and local support found only here.
Let’s continue to make DFW RIMS the premier hub for professional growth and camaraderie.
