DFW RIMS Accomplishments

At DFW RIMS, we are committed to fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment. Our initiatives reflect our dedication to education, professional development, and community impact. Here are some of our proudest accomplishments:

Education
   Diverse Luncheon Speakers: We have hosted speakers from a wide range of backgrounds, including African American, female, and transgender communities.
   DEI Panels: We organized a panel of RMI leaders to discuss the necessary DEI enhancements to propel the industry forward.
   Industry Leadership: Our chapter leadership participated in the RISKWORLD Panel on managing supplier diversity and the Spencer Educational Foundation Panel on DEI in risk management.
   Multigenerational Insights: We hosted a panel focusing on the perspectives of Baby Boomer, Gen X, and Millennial generations.
   Collaborative Efforts: Partnering with National African American Insurance Association (NAAIA) and the CPCU Society, we hosted a panel on DEI efforts across the RMI community.

Rising Risk Professionals
   Scholarships: We awarded $33,000 in scholarships to local DFW college students.
   Career Presentations: Our members volunteered their time to present on careers in RMI at a local university's Gamma Iota Sigma chapter.

Community Impact
   Party with a Purpose: Our annual event provided school books and supplies to local elementary schools and the Ronald McDonald House.
   Empowering Women: We hosted a keynote speaker from WiNGS, a local charitable organization dedicated to empowering women, fighting poverty, and impacting generations.
   Volunteer Service: Our members volunteered at Hope's Door New Beginning Center's Halloween event.
   Holiday Toy Drive: We collected winter clothes, shoes, and toys for local families, and donated $1,920 to Operation Care to assist families in need during the holiday season.

These initiatives are just a glimpse of our ongoing commitment to DEI. We are proud of our accomplishments and remain dedicated to making a positive impact in our community and industry.
