Communications
Chair: Jason Znoy, Sedgwick
The Communications committee responsibilities include:
○ Maintain communication with all committees and board; monitor admin email and perform light database updates
○ Preferred skills: light HTML and Canva
○ Set up and monitor event registration in StarChapter for luncheons and events
○ Draft and send emails for event notices and reminders; post press release updates
○ Work with committees to build campaign themes, create graphics, and monitor timelines
○ Coordinate and create newsletter content; post on website and LinkedIn
○ Monitor and approve job postings and local community opportunities; maintain historical pages
Time Commitment: 4-5 hours per month, additional during peak periods.

Community Impact

The Community Impact committee responsibilities include:
○ Organize and oversee community service events for the Chapter.
○ Facilitate the proper collection of charitable donations to designated nonprofit organizations throughout the year, as appropriate.
○ Explore new ways to impact the local community and provide members the opportunity to support worthy charitable causes at Chapter events.
Time Commitment: 1 hours per month, additional during service projects.

External Affairs (Government/Legislative)

The External Affairs committee responsibilities include:
○ Monitor and evaluate on a continuing basis pending legislative, regulatory, and legal action at the federal, state, and local
○ Keep members and the board up-to-date on legislative events affecting the risk management and insurance industry.
○ Develop and deliver at least one advocacy webinar focusing on a key legislative issue that the Committee would like members to engage with and support.
○ (optional) Consider attending the RIMS Legislative Summit in Washington, DC to present to Global RIMS.
Time Commitment: 4-5 hours per month, additional during peak periods.

Risk Manager Forums/Roundtables

The Conference/Forums committee responsibilities include:
○ Plan and organize the conference's objectives, choose a relevant theme, and design the agenda to provide a meaningful experience.
○ Select appropriate dates and secure suitable venues, coordinate accommodations, transportation, and other logistical details.
○ Invite speakers, develop the program, and manage the technical aspects of presentations and sessions.
○ Promote the conference to attract attendees, sponsors, and exhibitors.
○ Handle budgeting, sponsorships, and financial planning to ensure the conference is financially viable.
○ Facilitate connections among attendees, industry experts, and thought leaders to enhance professional relationships.
○ Collect feedback from attendees to assess the conference's success and identify areas for improvement.

Inclusion & Belonging (DEIB)
Chair: Jacob Pevehouse, Billingsley
The Inclusion & Belonging committee responsibilities include:
○ Work with your Chapter to set and advance strategic priorities for Inclusion and Belonging, attracting underrepresented groups* to the RIMS community.
* These groups include gender, gender identity, ethnicity, race, native or Indigenous origin, age, generation, sexual orientation, culture, religion, belief system, marital status, parental status, socio-economic background, appearance, language and accent, disability, mental health, education, geography, nationality, work style, work experience, job role and function, thinking style, and personality type.
○ Champion Inclusion and Belonging awareness and programs with DFW RIMS members, volunteers, and the risk and insurance community. Build partnerships with external organizations and sponsors, and enhance supplier diversity efforts.
○ Drive awareness, commitment, and accountability for Inclusion and Belonging initiatives by speaking at events and providing expertise.
○ Be a role model, applying an Inclusion and Belonging lens to every initiative and discussion within your chapter leadership.

Membership

The Membership committee responsibilities include:
○ Overall recruitment of new members to join the Chapter;
○ Maintaining accuracy of member database including merging with Global RIMS records and invoicing delinquent members.
○ Providing regular reports to the board on membership count, trends, and ideas to attract and retain members;
○ Staffing the check-In table at luncheons, arrange nametags, and greet guests as they arrive.
○ Manage Payments and Inquiries: Process on-site payments using Square and assist attendees with questions about RIMS events and general information.
○ Lead Member Spotlight: Identify and feature members based on their achievements and contributions within the organization or community.
Time Commitment: 1-2 hours per month

○ Develop approaches to grow RRP membership
○ Maintain RRP LinkedIn group page and send emails to members
○ Works with local RIMS Chapter treasurer to align budgets
○ Work with industry sponsors to help fund RRP events
○ Organizes list of internships and entry level job opportunities to post
Time Commitment: 2 hours per month.

○ Develop detailed plans, coordinate logistics, and oversee setup and breakdown.
○ Identify and secure sponsors, negotiate agreements, and maintain sponsor relationships.
○ Execute marketing plans, design promotional materials, and analyze marketing effectiveness.
○ Manage registration, communicate with attendees, and enhance their experience.
○ Track expenses, provide financial reports, and conduct post-event evaluations.
