President's Letter
I write this final President’s Letter as the temperatures are dropping outside and the hustle and bustle of the holiday season is starting to get into full swing. The house is decorated and ready for family to fill it with joy and laughter. Personally, this time of year always brings with it some quiet moments of reflection and introspection. I am amazed at how different life looks from this time last year, when my husband and I were moving into our first home together and planning a wedding. In this past year many dreams came true, and hopes for a brighter future were brought to life. I hope that each of you takes a moment to look around and find the joy in your lives that reminds you that dreams come true and prayers get answered.
As 2024 comes to an end, I am reminded of the incredible honor it has been to serve as the DFW RIMS President this year! Prior presidents have talked about how serving on this board was one of the most rewarding experiences in their professional lives, and I now fully recognize the incredible wisdom in those words. I am overwhelmed with gratitude for this organization and the ability to put my own little stamp on the legacy of DFW RIMS. This year we were able to launch the new Mentorship Program and to double our scholarship budget. We also broke multiple records with this year’s Fall Conference with more than 400 attendees and $6000 raised for Make-A-Wish North Texas.
As 2025 approaches, please join me in welcoming in our new President, Ms. Marissa Holland! Marissa will most assuredly be a spectacular President and will usher in many new ideas and opportunities for our members. Marissa is a true legacy builder and will help strengthen the legacy of DFW RIMS.

DFW RIMS supports
Minnie's Food Pantry!
Minnie's Food Pantry (MFP) is a nonprofit organization headquartered in Plano, Texas. We believe that overall wellness begins with healthy food and financial education. Our ultimate goal is to provide numerous programs that help families gain long-term food security and to break the generational curse of people (especially children) in low-income areas not having access to fresh fruits and vegetables.
This year, the DFW RIMS Community Impact team collected generous donations for the Food Pantry at our Annual Clay Shoot! We are proud to support the important work of Minnie's Food Pantry and invite you to keep the momentum going by continuing to donate. Your contributions make a meaningful difference—let's work together to further their mission!
- 350-400 families receive a turkey/ham and trimmings needed to prepare a complete holiday meal. Toys are provided for the kiddos in these families (usually between 1,000-1,200)

- Christmas for Seniors
- A warm catered holiday luncheon for seniors living in a low income senior living facility along with gifts for the holidays as many of these senior citizens do not have family/loved ones to spend the holidays with.

Our November Luncheon on Cybersecurity with expert Ngozi Eze was absolutely packed with valuable insights! The collaboration between our members and guests made this interactive session incredibly engaging and impactful.
