2025 Annual Report | DFW RIMS
In 2025, DFW RIMS turned a year of challenges into a year of extraordinary progress. What began as a strategic effort to rebuild engagement and strengthen our foundation quickly evolved into one of the most dynamic and impactful years in our chapter’s history. Through intentional programming, renewed investment in students and emerging professionals, and a deep commitment to community and inclusion, DFW RIMS not only met its goals... we surpassed them! Membership surged. Engagement reached new heights. Volunteerism flourished. And our chapter solidified its position as a leading force in the Texas risk management community. This year stands as a powerful example of what becomes possible when a chapter invests in its people, its purpose, and its partnerships. At the start of the year, we set an ambitious goal: re‑energize risk managers and grow our membership by 15%. We knew this required more than routine programming; it demanded relevance, exclusivity, and value. The launch of the DFW RIMS RiskRoundup™ Series delivered exactly that. Our Spring and Fall Risk Manager Roundtables created a safe, high‑level space for open dialogue, drawing more than 70 risk managers across both sessions. Luncheons aligned with industry trends, from generative AI to global supply chain risk to cybercrime, brought fresh energy and record attendance. The results spoke for themselves: Membership grew from 436 to 531, a 21% increase. Risk manager attendance increased 32% year‑over‑year. Special events saw unprecedented turnout, including 225 at the Holiday Party and 179 at Night at the Races. Our digital presence expanded dramatically, with 94,311 LinkedIn impressions and 440 new followers. High‑value programming didn’t just engage our members, it redefined what engagement could look like. The future of our profession depends on the students and young professionals entering the field today. In 2025, DFW RIMS made a bold commitment to elevate and empower this next generation. We launched the Rising Risk Professionals (RRP) group, created a dedicated webpage and LinkedIn community, and expanded our presence on university campuses. Webinars tailored to early‑career professionals, including Navigating Your First Years in the Industry and Job Hunting in the AI World, drew strong participation. Our investment didn’t stop at programming. We backed it with financial support: 10 college scholarships (Students from UNT, UTD, and Baylor) 4 Riskworld® Student Travel Awards 1 University Grant to The University of Texas at Dallas Together totaling over $79,000 awarded to future risk leaders. Student membership grew 35%, and our partnerships with UNT, UTD, and Gamma Iota Sigma strengthened our pipeline for years to come. We also strengthened our professional community by partnering with organizations such as NAAIA, RISE, YRP, CPCU, and the Blue Goose Society, creating a more connected and collaborative risk ecosystem across North Texas. DFW RIMS believes that a thriving chapter is one where every member feels seen, valued, and connected; and where our impact extends beyond our industry. In 2025, we launched the Inclusion & Belonging page, introduced monthly awareness themes, and added a Inclusion & Belonging Chair to our board. These efforts helped embed representation and respect into the fabric of our chapter. Our commitment to service was equally strong. Through four Member Service Days and multiple collection drives, our volunteers contributed over 520 hours, more than double our goal. From food pantry support to hygiene kit drives to our largest toy collection ever, our members showed up for the community in meaningful ways. A big thank you to all our officers, board members and committee chairs! Looking back, 2025 was more than a year of goals achieved, it was a year of transformation. We expanded our reach, elevated our programming, empowered future leaders, and deepened our impact across the region. DFW RIMS enters 2026 stronger, more connected, and more energized than ever. Our success this year reflects the dedication of our volunteers, the passion of our members, and the power of a chapter united by purpose. Together, we proved what’s possible when a community invests in its future... and each other. © 2025 DFW RIMS, The Dallas-Fort Worth Chapter of the Risk and Insurance Management Society, Inc.A Year of Momentum, Impact, and Community
